USA: The much-anticipated manned mission “Axiom - 4” (Ax-4) carrying four astronauts was launched on June 25 at 2:31 AM (local time) from the John F. Kennedy Space Center in Florida, USA, using a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. The mission will transport the crew to the International Space Station (ISS). It holds special significance for both the United States and India.

The Axiom-4 (Ax-4) mission is a private spaceflight to the ISS, conducted in collaboration between Axiom Space, SpaceX, and NASA.

This mission uses the SpaceX Falcon 9 Block 5 rocket and the Crew Dragon Grace spacecraft to carry the crew to Low Earth Orbit (LEO).

This is a human spaceflight mission involving astronauts from India, Poland, Hungary, and the United States. For the first time in over 40 years, these governments (India, Poland, Hungary) are officially sponsoring a human space mission.

The commercial Axiom-4 mission is led by veteran astronaut Peggy Whitson. Indian astronaut Shubham Shukla is serving as the pilot, while Tibor Kapu from Hungary and Slawosz Uznanski from Poland are serving as mission specialists.
