Congress Running a Model of Misgovernance: Dr. C.N. Ashwathnarayan's Criticism

Former Deputy Chief Minister and MLA Dr. C.N. Ashwathnarayan has launched a scathing attack, claiming that the Congress government has set a model for misgovernance in Karnataka.

Bengaluru: Former Deputy Chief Minister and MLA Dr. C.N. Ashwathnarayan has launched a scathing attack, claiming that the Congress government has set a model for misgovernance in Karnataka.

Speaking at a press conference held at the BJP state office, Jagannath Bhavan, in Bengaluru, he said,
“The Congress government is holding a ‘Sadhana Samavesha’ (achievement convention) in Mysuru, but what is their achievement? Betrayal of people, corruption, and injustice.

From day one of coming to power, the Congress has been involved in hundreds of scams. Not a single good deed has been done,” he alleged.

Targeting Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Ashwathnarayan said,
“They are conducting conventions to propagate lies as truth. What does the CM have to say about the MUDA scam and the Valmiki Corporation financial irregularities? Will he explain the suicides of government officials?” he questioned.

He further alleged,
“In the Congress government, commissions have reached 100%. In some places, it is 80%, in others 60%. Transfers happen only for those who pay bribes. Due to this, many officials from the Dalit community have committed suicide. This is a government of death,” he said, expressing his outrage.

RCB Celebration Stampede Incident

Referring to the RCB victory celebration stampede incident, Ashwathnarayan said,
“While people were dying, the Deputy Chief Minister went to the stadium to kiss the trophy. The Chief Minister was busy eating masala dosa at a hotel. This is a government of the messengers of death,” he criticized harshly.

“The police had clearly stated that permission for the event was not granted. Yet, the government went ahead with the victory celebration, risking people’s lives. This has brought disgrace to our state. Industries are leaving Karnataka, and now even sporting events are at risk of stopping,” Ashwathnarayan warned.

Calling the government the ‘Scam Kings’, he accused the Congress of ruling through fear.
“Governance is not about taking people’s lives,” he said.

BJP North District President S. Harish, retired IPS officer Bhaskar Rao, and BJP ST Morcha State President Bangaru Hanumanthu were also present at the press meet.
