Red Alert in Coastal Karnataka as Heavy Rains Lash Several Districts..!

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert in coastal Karnataka districts following continuous heavy rainfall. The alert comes amid rising water levels, potential flooding, and difficult commuting conditions. Schools and colleges have been declared closed in some areas, while authorities urge residents—especially children, the elderly, and those in low-lying areas—to stay indoors. Yellow alerts are also in place for multiple inland districts.
