Hon'ble Labour Minister, Shri Santosh Lad, today reviewed the demonstration models of the proposed new skill training centers, slated for construction in Dharwad and Mysuru. These centers are being established under the aegis of the Karnataka State Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board. The review took place in the conference hall of Vikasa Soudha, where extensive discussions were held regarding the swift implementation of these training centers.

These centers are part of a crucial initiative aimed at providing advanced skill training to construction workers. The Minister meticulously examined the models, gathering information on their design, facilities, and proposed training methodologies. Shri Lad expressed his view that these centers would be instrumental in enhancing the skills of workers through quality training, thereby creating better employment opportunities for them.
The meeting was attended by key officials, including Smt. Rohini Sindhuri, Secretary of the Labour Department; Smt. Bharathi, Chief Executive Officer of the Karnataka State Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board; Shri Srinivas, Director of the Department of Factories and Boilers; Shri Johnson, Deputy Labour Commissioner of the Board; and Shri Umesh, Joint Secretary.
