Govt has made numerous efforts to popularise Sanskrit: PM Narendra Modi

Key initiatives mentioned by the government to promote Sanskrit include:

Establishment of Central Sanskrit Universities and Learning Centres: The government has set up dedicated institutions to provide education and research opportunities in Sanskrit.

Grants for Sanskrit Scholars: Financial assistance is being provided to support scholars working on the language.

Gyan Bharatam Mission: A significant initiative with a budget of approximately ₹500 crore has been launched to digitize ancient manuscripts in Sanskrit and Prakrit, aiming to preserve and make them accessible to students and researchers.
