He stated that the Israeli military would maintain "overriding security control" in Gaza, with objectives to demilitarize the region and establish a civilian administration unaffiliated with Israel. The operation is planned to be completed in a "very short time," though no specific timeline was provided. " Israel’s military operation includes plans to create safe zones for delivering humanitarian aid to Gaza’s civilians, though Palestinians have alleged that such zones have failed to provide protection from attacks in the past.The United Nations (UN) and other international organizations have warned that the offensive could exacerbate the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk stated that the operation could lead to "more killing, intolerable suffering, and unnecessary destruction." According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, over 61,400 Palestinians have already been killed due to Israeli air and ground operations, with nearly half being women and children. Additionally, reports indicate that in the last 24 hours, 217 people, including five children, died due to starvation and malnutrition.Netanyahu’s plan is also facing significant opposition within Israel. Families of approximately 50 hostages held by Hamas have expressed fears that the offensive could endanger their loved ones’ lives. As a result, a general strike has been called in Israel to protest the operation.
