The suicide case of a contract driver in Gauribidanur, Chikkaballapura, has taken a new turn following the discovery of a death note mentioning MP K. Sudhakar. The incident has since led to several developments involving the two politicians.

The case, which is evolving daily, has now taken on a casteist dimension. According to reports, an atrocity case has been filed against MLA Pradeep Eshwar's supporters at the Chikkaballapura police station. Sudhakar's supporter, Muniraju, has alleged that Eshwar's supporters used derogatory and casteist language against him, leading to the complaint. This issue has become a political hotbed. MLA Pradeep Eshwar had recently visited the deceased's home and strongly condemned the incident. His supporters had also allegedly put up posters calling Sudhakar "anti-Dalit," accusing him of deceiving the driver. In turn, a counter-complaint has also been filed against Sudhakar's supporters.

Amid reports of widespread protests against the incident, the High Court has ordered Sudhakar to cooperate with the investigation. This comes after Sudhakar had filed a petition seeking to quash the case against him.
