The fraudulent activities reportedly took place in Belagavi, Bailhongal, Khanapur, and other regions.

A serious job scam has surfaced in Belagavi, with allegations against Manjunath Mallasarj, a supporter of Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar, accused of defrauding 16 individuals of over ₹34 lakh. Social activist Jayant Tinekar has brought these charges to light.

Nature of the Scam: Manjunath allegedly promised computer operator jobs in the Women and Child Welfare Department, collecting over ₹34 lakh through PhonePe and bank transfers from 16 victims.

Forged Documents: The scam involved the use of fake documents, including counterfeit orders from the Governor and forged signatures of Minister Hebbalkar, exploiting her name and authority.

Affected Areas: The fraudulent activities reportedly took place in Belagavi, Bailhongal, Khanapur, and other regions.

Legal Action: Jayant Tinekar and Kavya Yallur from Gandigawad have filed complaints in court. Despite the incidents not occurring under the jurisdiction of Kittur Police Station, authorities have allegedly been uncooperative, delaying the registration of complaints.

Complaints to Authorities: Written complaints have been submitted to the Governor, Chief Minister, and Home Minister, as confirmed by Jayant Tinekar.

Minister’s Response: Belagavi SP Dr. Bhimashankar Guled stated that Minister Hebbalkar has personally lodged a complaint and directed a thorough investigation into the matter.

Current Status: The allegations are under investigation, with no direct connection to Minister Hebbalkar established. However, her supporter faces serious accusations, and her name appears to have been misused. Further details are expected to emerge as the investigation progresses.
