Kothalavadi has no involvement from Yash. Pushpa emphasized, “This is not Yash’s film. I didn’t make this film as Yash’s mother. Those who come to me expecting opportunities because of Yash will get none. They can go to Yash directly. I entered the film industry as a producer, not because of my son’s fame.”
The film, released recently under Pushpa’s PA Productions banner, has created a buzz in the Kannada film industry and received a strong response. Speaking with InsightRush News, Pushpa expressed her joy and shared several insights.
Pushpa credited her husband, Arun Kumar, for her achievements, stating, “I take more pride in being known as a bus driver’s wife than a star actor’s mother. Yash has grown and is doing well, which makes us happy. However, I didn’t enter the film industry as Yash’s mother but as Arun Kumar’s wife, Pushpa. I deliberately avoided using Yash’s name in this film. If Yash were associated with it, people would assume he’s the hero, diverting attention from Pruthvi Ambar, who is the actual lead. That’s why we kept Yash completely separate from this project.”

When asked why she chose the film industry, Pushpa explained, “Cinema is everything to us. I didn’t enter this field for trivial reasons. My goal is to bring new talent to the industry and provide opportunities to those with potential.” She further acknowledged the success of Kothalavadi as a result of the entire team’s efforts.

Interestingly, the film’s team was unaware of Pushpa being the producer until the release phase. Only the director and her husband, Arun Kumar, knew initially. Pushpa revealed, “It was only during the press meet that everyone found out.”
Pushpa emphasized that quality mattered more than publicity for the film. She lauded the team for brilliantly showcasing that quality on screen. Beyond words, Pushpa demonstrated her commitment by actively supporting the film’s cast, treating them like family and promoting the film alongside the hero and heroine. She described this as a producer’s duty, establishing herself as a model producer in the Kannada film industry.
