Mumbai, August 13, 2025: The Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of the Mumbai Police, specifically the Kandivali unit, arrested a 30-year-old individual and seized narcotics worth over Rs 1.46 crore, including 143 grams of cocaine and 13 grams of ecstasy (MDMA). Acting on confidential information about drug trafficking in the Juhu and Andheri (West) areas, the police set up a trap near St. Joseph’s School on August 12.
The suspect was apprehended at the scene. Preliminary investigations revealed that the accused was actively involved in the local supply of cocaine and ecstasy. The operation was conducted under the guidance of Senior Police Commissioner Shailesh Balakawade and ANC Chief Navanath Dhavale, led by Senior Police Inspector Shashikant Jagdale.
A case has been registered against the accused under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and further investigations are underway. Public Appeal: Mumbai Police have urged citizens to report any information related to drug trafficking to the ANC or the Narcotics Control Bureau’s national helpline ‘MANS’ (1933). The identity of informants will be kept strictly confidential.
