Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has termed the allegations against Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala as a conspiracy. He stated that the government will support the Dharmadhikari’s initiatives and take steps to preserve the faith of devotees.

The serious allegations against Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala have caused widespread concern across the country. Responding to these allegations, DCM DK Shivakumar stated that a conspiracy has been meticulously planned to tarnish the reputation of Dharmasthala’s administration. He expressed unwavering faith in the shrine and its traditions, saying, “I have complete trust in the Dharmadhikari and am aware of their principles and practices. The Home Minister will clarify the situation in this matter, and the government will explain why an SIT (Special Investigation Team) is being formed. The Karnataka government is committed to supporting Dharmasthala’s religious activities. While some individuals have made statements in court, Shivakumar clarified that neither the government nor the Home Minister can remain silent on the matter. “We care more about Dharmasthala’s Veerendra Heggade, his legacy, the temple, and its religious activities than anyone else,” he added.
