According to Reshma, everyone on the set of Sholay knew about the romantic bond between Hema and Dharmendra. However, they always maintained professionalism on set. During filming, both focused on their work and kept their distance. Reshma recalls that artists of that era kept their personal lives private and maintained confidentiality.

She further added that although Hema and Dharmendra stayed in the same hotel, they had separate rooms. After shooting, Dharmendra spent time with his team, while Hema Malini stayed with hers. Being part of Hema’s team, Reshma witnessed their simple and disciplined lifestyle firsthand.
