This will mark Tyagi’s second Grand Slam appearance, following his debut at Wimbledon earlier this year. Though he exited early in singles, he impressed in the doubles draw, reaching the quarterfinals alongside his partner — a career-best performance so far on the international junior stage.

Tyagi, who currently holds the title of India’s No. 1 junior tennis player, has expressed calm confidence ahead of the prestigious event. "There’s no pressure being the only Indian in the draw," he said. "I see it as an opportunity to give my best and represent the country with pride."

In preparation for the US Open, Tyagi will compete in the ITF J300 event, fine-tuning his game before heading to New York. “My focus has been on building physical strength, developing mental resilience, and sharpening my skills,” Tyagi said. “I want to bring physical dominance and composure, especially in clutch moments.”
