Replying to a question by Madikeri MLA Mantar Gowda during the question hour in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly on Monday, the Minister said, "The areas in the state most prone to landslides and hill collapses have been identified, and it has been decided to implement permanent mitigation measures at an estimated cost of Rs 500 crore. Six districts in the Malnad and coastal regions have already been identified, and the construction of retaining walls is planned to prevent landslides."
In this regard, President Putin called Prime Minister Modi to share details of the discussions that took place. Following the call, Prime Minister Modi expressed his satisfaction and shared the information on his X account, a social media platform.
