Waterlogging is severe in major areas, including Gandhi Market, King's Circle, SCLR Bridge, and Malad subway. Flight services have also been affected due to the continuous rain. Some flight routes have been changed, and some flights have been delayed. Other airlines, including SpiceJet, are also issuing advance warnings to passengers.
IndiGo has advised passengers through its official website and app to check the status of their flights. Akasa Air noted that traffic congestion could occur in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Goa, and Pune due to adverse weather.
Along with Mumbai, a heavy rain warning has been issued for the districts of Thane, Raigad, and Palghar. According to the IMD's forecast, heavy rainfall in Maharashtra may continue until August 21. Road traffic on the Western Expressway has also been disrupted due to the rain.
