Murder Accused Darshan to Ballari Jail? Do You Know What's in the Application?

The 64th CCH Court has postponed the hearing on the jail transfer application of Darshan and other accused in the Renukaswamy murder case to August 23. The prosecution has requested the transfer of the accused to jails in Ballari, Shivamogga, Kalaburagi, and Belagavi.

In the Renukaswamy murder case, the prosecution has filed an application to transfer accused actor Darshan from Bengaluru’s Parappana Agrahara Central Prison to Ballari Central Prison. The 64th CCH Court has deferred the hearing to August 23.

Darshan and other accused, who were previously detained in Parappana Agrahara Jail, had received preferential treatment in the past. Due to this, they were transferred to various jails across the state on multiple occasions.

Darshan’s legal team has requested the court to consider their arguments if the clients are to be transferred to other jails. Taking this into account, the court postponed the hearing to August 23.

According to the application, it has been requested to transfer Darshan to Ballari Jail, Jagadish and Lakshman to Shivamogga District Prison, Nagaraj to Kalaburagi Jail, and Pradosh to Belagavi Prison. The application suggests that the primary accused, Pavithra Gowda, and Anukumar remain in Parappana Agrahara Central Prison.
