The Electronics City Industries Association (ELCITA) has launched a free feeder bus service, a new initiative to help IT professionals in the area. This service directly connects the Yellow Line Metro stations to corporate offices, making the daily commute for employees easier, more comfortable, and time-saving.
The main goal of the feeder bus service is to improve last-mile connectivity. It helps save time and makes the journey from the metro station to the office more convenient. The Yellow Line, which is 19.15 km long and has 16 stations, serves thousands of IT professionals daily.
The bus service operates from the Electronics City Metro Station (EC1) and the Infosys/Konappana Agrahara Metro Station (EC2), transporting commuters to various office hubs within the city. This service is available from 8 AM to 8 PM, Monday to Friday.
According to an official announcement from ELCITA's social media channels, "The Yellow Line Metro is now operational, and ELCITA is making your commute smoother. Let’s make sustainable, stress-free travel our new normal."
The feeder buses run on multiple routes, connecting major junctions, bus stops, and corporate centers. Commuters can track the buses live using the ELCITA Citizens App, which helps them reduce waiting time and plan their journey more efficiently.
The Yellow Line Metro connects the RV Road and Bommasandra areas, significantly improving connectivity in the southern tech corridor. ELCITA's goal is to provide a seamless and comfortable commuting experience for employees. With this free feeder bus service, employees in Electronics City can save time, reduce travel stress, and enjoy a safe and efficient commute through the integration of metro and bus services.
