On August 19, in Hyderabad, Nandamuri Padmaja, the wife of Nandamuri Jayakrishna, passed away at the age of 73. She had been unwell for some time and was admitted to the hospital before her demise.
Following Padmaja’s passing, her brother-in-law, Nandamuri Balakrishna, welcomed those who came to offer condolences. On Tuesday evening, visuals of Balakrishna greeting people who visited the family to express their condolences were shared on social media. In some videos, Balakrishna is seen welcoming visitors, while in another, he appears emotional, struggling to hold back tears. Fans posted supportive messages under the videos, urging the actor-politician to “stay strong.”
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu also visited the family to offer his condolences. In videos, he is seen consoling Jayakrishna and comforting him closely.
On his social media account, the politician expressed, “I was deeply shocked to learn of the passing of Padmaja, the wife of my brother-in-law Nandamuri Jayakrishna and the sister of Daggubati Venkateswara Rao. This incident has filled our family with sorrow. I pray to God that Padmaja’s soul finds peace.”
Padmaja was the eldest daughter-in-law of NTR and Tarakam and the sister of Daggubati Venkateswara Rao. Jayakrishna was a renowned film producer in Tollywood. He began his career as a makeup artist, working with stars like Krishnam Raju and Vijayashanti, before venturing into film production. He gained popularity for producing the 1978 film Mana Voori Pandavulu.
