In a disturbing incident in Piprahi village, Rewa district, Madhya Pradesh, a young man who traveled to meet a girl he connected with on Facebook was allegedly tied up and beaten by her family for 13 hours. The incident, which took place from 9 PM on Saturday to 10 AM the following morning, has raised concerns about the risks associated with meeting people through social media.

According to police reports, the youth, who had developed a friendship with the girl online, traveled 100 kilometers to meet her. However, the girl’s family disapproved of the meeting. They allegedly tied his hands and feet with ropes and subjected him to physical assault, leaving him seriously injured. The police have registered a case and are investigating the matter, with the family members involved currently under interrogation.
