The Special Investigation Team (SIT) will visit the residence of Sujata Bhat, a key person in the case, to record her statement.Sujata Bhat, who is over 70 years old, had requested additional time to appear for questioning, citing health and mental stress issues. Consequently, the SIT has decided to record her statement at her residence, as per legal provisions.

Previously, the SIT had issued a notice to Sujata Bhat under BNS Section 131, directing her to appear for questioning. However, she did not comply, citing her age and health concerns. Recently, a death note allegedly written by her, claiming harassment by the media, went viral. Under BNS Section 180, if a complainant or witness is above 60 years of age or below 18, the investigation team may visit their residence to record statements.

Barricades have been set up to restrict access by the media and the public.
