Sibling Caring for Deceased Employee’s Mother Eligible for Compassionate Appointment: High Court

The court was hearing a petition filed by Manthavva, whose son Veeresh Manthappa, a driver with the Kalyana Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (KKRTC) in Ballari division, and his wife had passed away, leaving no children. Manthavva sought a compassionate appointment for her second son, Sanganna, the sibling of the deceased employee. The single-judge bench of Justice Suraj Govindaraj upheld the petition.
