Continuous rainfall has led to flooding and waterlogging in the town. In response, the Jammu district administration evacuated over 3,500 residents to safer locations on Tuesday.The administration, police, NDRF, SDRF, army, and local volunteer teams are engaged in relocating residents from severely affected areas and conducting relief operations. Efforts are also underway to restore essential infrastructure.

Authorities have prioritized evacuating people from vulnerable areas to safer locations.The Jammu Youth Hostel serves as the primary shelter center, with multiple relief camps established across various locations. Community kitchens in Mutti and Satwari are providing meals, and medical teams are present at all major shelter centers.
