The film Param Sundari, starring Janhvi Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra, was recently released. The day before its release, the duo visited Mumbai’s renowned Lalbaugcha Raja Ganpati temple to seek Lord Ganesha’s blessings. While the visit was meant to be spiritual, a video of Janhvi Kapoor has garnered significant attention on social media.
In the video shared on Instagram by Sneh Zala, Janhvi Kapoor appears visibly uncomfortable in the crowd. Her expressions clearly indicate unease and, at times, fear. In contrast, Sidharth Malhotra appears calm and composed amidst the devotees.
The video has been widely shared, with many users expressing concern. One user commented, “It’s clear how uncomfortable and frightening such crowds can be for any woman. Especially for someone shorter, it’s even more challenging when you can’t see ahead and are pushed around.”

Another user empathized with Janhvi’s discomfort, stating, “This happens to me in such places too. It’s not just a celebrity issue but a common problem for women. Sometimes, you can’t avoid certain places or events, and there are people who take advantage of crowds to behave inappropriately.”

Meanwhile, Param Sundari is currently playing in theaters. According to a Sacnilk report, advance bookings for the film began on August 26, with around 10,000 tickets sold in the first 24 hours. The film is expected to collect ₹7-10 crore nett on its opening day.
If audience reactions remain positive, the collection could increase further. Analysts have noted that a double-digit opening would mark one of the biggest starts for both Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor.
