Ever since his removal, Rajanna’s supporters have been disappointed. Representing the Madhugiri constituency, Rajanna was forced to resign from his ministerial position prematurely. In response, his supporters, along with several swamijis, had planned a five-day protest in Delhi, aiming to pressure the party leadership into reinstating him in the cabinet.

K.N. Rajanna, who previously held a ministerial position in the Karnataka state Congress cabinet, was removed from the post due to his repeated controversial public statements. The decision to drop him was reportedly based on a consensus among several Congress leaders and MLAs, who conveyed their concerns to AICC Karnataka in-charge Randeep Surjewala.

To this end, K.N. Rajanna reportedly sought an audience with the Congress high command twice, but was denied on both occasions. The reason? When Rahul Gandhi visited Bengaluru and made strong statements against the central government regarding electoral malpractices, Rajanna publicly criticized Rahul’s remarks. As a result, Randeep Surjewala seems to have declined Rajanna's request to meet the high command. What lies ahead for Rajanna’s ministerial ambitions remains to be seen.
