CM has instructed the finance department to immediately release the remaining funds. He also directed officials to provide additional funds for the acquisition of 101.30 acres of private land needed for the project.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has approved a budget of ₹200 crore for the comprehensive development of Anjanadri Hill, a revered site believed to be the birthplace of Lord Hanuman. The government plans to transform the site into a world-class tourist destination by enhancing its infrastructure and facilities. The proposed development includes a ropeway project, construction of a community hall and dormitory, and improved climbing facilities for the elderly. The CM discussed these plans in a recent meeting at his Kaveri residence.

"Anjanadri Hill holds immense mythological and historical significance," Siddaramaiah stated. "It attracts millions of domestic and international tourists, especially during Hanuman Jayanti. Therefore, it is crucial to provide essential facilities for the devotees." He emphasized the need for better amenities like dormitories and a smooth parikrama (circumambulation) path for pilgrims.

The plan to build a ropeway at Anjanadri Hill was first announced in the 2024-25 state budget. The government has approved the project under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, a strategy that will also be implemented at 11 other tourist destinations in the state. This project is expected to make the climb to the top of the hill much easier for devotees and tourists.

The meeting was attended by Tourism Minister H. K. Patil, Additional Chief Secretary Anjum Parwez, and other senior officials.
