The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has already initiated a preliminary investigation into allegations of illegal funding from other states and foreign sources in the Dharmasthala case. Meanwhile, Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy is likely to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah to urge that the case be handed over to the NIA for a thorough probe.
JDS state unit president Nikhil Kumaraswamy, sharing details with TV9, confirmed that Kumaraswamy is collecting necessary documents and preparing to submit a formal request to the Home Minister. Responding to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s allegations that BJP and JDS are receiving financial support from other states and abroad, Nikhil Kumaraswamy emphasized the need for an NIA investigation to reveal the truth.Nikhil stated that the Dharmasthala case must reach a logical conclusion, and the NIA, with its capability to conduct international-level investigations, is the right agency to uncover the facts.
He added that their party is exerting pressure on the central government and relevant ministers to ensure an NIA probe. Dharmasthala, a renowned religious and social service hub, is facing reputational damage due to these allegations. A transparent and effective investigation is crucial, and Nikhil stressed that an NIA probe is essential for this purpose. Kumaraswamy has already gathered relevant documents and plans to press the central government for an NIA investigation. He has made it clear that the truth must come to light and those responsible should face punishment.
