A delegation of eight religious leaders, including Sri Rajashekharananda Swamiji of Mangaluru's Gurupura Vajradehi Mutt, met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi today to request that the Dharmasthala case be handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA).

Following a discussion that lasted for several hours, Amit Shah reportedly assured the delegation that the government has been closely monitoring the case. He added that the matter would be discussed in a cabinet meeting and a decision would be made.

The delegation, led by Vachananda Swamiji of the Panchamasali Lingayat Mutt, argued that a systematic campaign of misinformation is targeting the Dharmasthala pilgrimage site and Hindu religious centers. He also emphasized the government's commitment to creating public awareness for social harmony.
