The Mysuru Dasara 2025 festival, a grand celebration of Karnataka’s cultural heritage, will commence on September 22, 2025, and conclude on October 2, 2025. The highlight of the festival, the Vijayadashami celebrations on October 2, will feature the iconic Ambari procession and the Torchlight Parade (Panjina Kavayatu).

The procession starts at Mysore Palace and proceeds through Albert Victor Road, K.R. Circle, Sayyaji Rao Road, Bamboo Bazaar, and Highway Circle, culminating at Bannimantap Grounds. Covering approximately 5 kilometers, the parade will feature nine elephants, with Abhimanyu at the forefront. At Bannimantap, the Maharaja will perform the traditional Banni-Shami tree worship, a significant ritual marking the culmination of the procession.

Following the Jamboo Savari, the Torchlight Parade will take place at Bannimantap Grounds. This spectacular event includes flame displays, military motorcycle stunts, laser shows, and other vibrant performances, captivating thousands of spectators.The Ambari procession and Torchlight Parade are integral to Mysuru Dasara’s grandeur, drawing locals and tourists alike. Before the Ambari procession begins, the Mysuru royal family performs traditional rituals, placing the idol of Goddess Chamundeshwari in a 750-kg golden howdah.
