Chinnayya revealed during the interrogation that he was used as part of a conspiracy to defame Dharmasthala and provided additional details related to the matter. He had shown authorities several locations where he claimed to have buried bodies, but no suspicious skeletal remains were found at those sites. Consequently, the SIT arrested Chinnayya and interrogated him further.However, leaders from various political parties questioned the government on how Chinnayya’s claims were taken seriously. Despite this, the Karnataka state government maintained that the truth would emerge only after the SIT investigation, urging patience until then.
