SIIMA Awards: Repeated Humiliation for Kannadigas... Duniya Vijay Issues Warning, Says He Won’t Attend Again!

At the SIIMA 2025 event held in Dubai, actor Duniya Vijay expressed strong dissatisfaction, alleging that Kannadigas were not given due recognition. Despite this, several Kannada artists won awards in various categories during the event.

At the SIIMA 2025 awards ceremony held in Dubai, Kannada actor Duniya Vijay voiced his frustration against the event organizers, accusing them of repeatedly humiliating Kannadigas.

During the event, Vijay raised objections about the manner in which awards were presented to Kannada actors. He questioned, “Is it fair to call Kannada artists to the stage to receive awards when hardly anyone is present in the audience?”

Vijay alleged that the event in Dubai was attempting to belittle Kannada cinema. “Don’t do this. If this continues, none of us will attend in the future,” he warned.

He further questioned why Kannada artists are consistently overlooked and only called to the stage when stars from other language industries are absent. Vijay’s pro-Kannada stance received widespread support from Kannadigas in Dubai.

It is also reported that when Kichcha Sudeep was to receive an award, the auditorium was nearly empty. Similarly, when V. Nagendra Prasad accepted an award on Sudeep’s behalf, the situation was the same.
