Dharmasthala Case: Accused Chinnayya Sentenced to 14 Days of Judicial Custody

Following the completion of Chinnayya’s 15-day SIT (Special Investigation Team) custody, he was presented before the Belthangady Court in Dakshina Kannada district today. Judge Vijayendra issued the order for 14 days of judicial custody. For security reasons, Chinnayya is being transferred to the Shivamogga Central Prison, according to sources.

Bengaluru, September 6, 2025: In connection with the case involving allegations of illegally burying bodies in Dharmasthala, the accused, Chinnayya, has been ordered to be placed in judicial custody for 14 days by the Belthangady Taluk Court. Following the completion of Chinnayya’s 15-day SIT (Special Investigation Team) custody, he was presented before the Belthangady Court in Dakshina Kannada district today.

It was previously reported that Chinnayya had revealed all the facts during the SIT interrogation. Consequently, it was believed that the SIT would not require further custody of Chinnayya. However, the SIT has taken him into custody again, raising the possibility that they may seek to extract additional information from him.
