"My Reputation Was Ruined in Kerala": YouTuber Munaf Speaks Out Amid SIT Probe in Dharmasthala Case

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the Dharmasthala skull-burial conspiracy case has reportedly summoned multiple YouTubers for questioning, suspecting them of supporting or promoting key accused persons online.

Kerala-based YouTuber Abdul Munaf is facing trouble after being linked to the Dharmasthala case. Munaf had previously taken photos with Mahesh Shetty Timarodi, Jayanth, and others involved in the case and later posted a video on social media driving a vehicle, which has drawn significant attention.

In the wake of widespread discussions in Karnataka’s media, an audio clip of Munaf has surfaced, where he expresses frustration. In the clip, he speaks about Sujatha Bhat, saying, “We considered her like our own mother and stood by her, but her statements have caused us so much distress. I’ve lost my respect in Kerala.”

The controversy has put YouTubers associated with the alleged "skull gang" in a difficult position, with the Special Investigation Team (SIT) intensifying its probe. The SIT has questioned several YouTubers, including one named Abhishek. Abhishek’s father spoke to the media, defending his son, stating, “My son is innocent. He had gone to K.R. Pete to work on video editing with Chandan Gowda and got caught up with activists during that time. He helped them, but he knows nothing beyond that.”

Munaf had previously gained attention after his lorry was swept away in a river during a landslide in Uttara Kannada in July 2024, following which his driver, Arjun, lost his life. Munaf had announced that he would name his future lorries after Arjun, earning him significant reach on social media.

The Dharmasthala conspiracy case is taking new turns daily. While the SIT has so far focused on questioning key figures in the forefront, it is now targeting YouTubers who operated in the background, creating further challenges for them.
