Home Minister G. Parameshwara has finally expressed his stance on the Dharmasthala case. Speaking in defense of the SIT investigation, he stated that there would be no interference. Regarding the clashes and increased security in Maddur, he confirmed that those who caused the violence have been arrested.
"The truth will ultimately come out," he said. "Let the investigation conclude. We cannot provide an answer now. No matter what we say, the investigation will reveal who was involved and what the truth is." When asked about a letter reportedly written by women's organizations to Sonia Gandhi, he stated that he had no information about it. He added, "Neither I nor the Chief Minister will interfere in this case. Let the investigation continue, we'll see after that," he told the media.
Regarding the Maddur Clashes:
The Home Minister said that individuals who engaged in stone-pelting and rioting during Ganeshotsav in parts of Maddur have been arrested. Police security has been provided in connection with the case, and instructions have been given to maintain control everywhere. He stated that such incidents are not uncommon and people should cooperate, adding that all necessary measures have been prepared. He dismissed allegations from the BJP, asserting that there is no political motive behind the actions.
