The Bombay High Court on Tuesday restrained Mumbai Police from filing a chargesheet against Kannada actor Dhruva Sarja in connection with a cheating case, directing that no chargesheet be filed without the court’s permission. The order was issued by a division bench comprising Chief Justice Shri Chandrashekhar and Justice Gautam A. Ankhad.
Last month, a bench of Justices A.S. Gadkari and Rajesh S. Patil had directed Dhruva Sarja to deposit ₹3.10 crore with the court to prove his bona fides before his plea could be considered. This followed an FIR lodged by Mumbai Police last month based on a complaint by Mumbai-based producer-director Raghavendra Hegde.Cricket: Asia Cup 2025 Opening match: Afghanistan vs Hong Kong: here is the info
Hegde accused Dhruva Sarja (also known as Dhruva Kumar) of cheating and criminal breach of trust. He alleged that between 2016 and 2018, Dhruva was paid an advance of ₹3 crore to act in a film titled The Soldier. However, the film was never produced, and Dhruva neither completed the project nor returned the money, according to the complaint.Monte Carlo Mens Solid Lace Up Genuine Leather Casual Shoes (201803FW)
