Maddur Ganapati Clashes: Minister N. Cheluvarayaswamy Alleges Muslim Community Is The Reason!

Minister N. Cheluvarayaswamy stated that the Muslim community is responsible for the Ganapati procession clashes in Maddur and confirmed that those arrested belong to the Muslim community.

Minister for Agriculture, N. Cheluvarayaswamy, clarified that members of the Muslim community are responsible for the Ganapati procession clashes in Maddur, Mandya district. He stated that those who instigated the riot have been arrested, and no FIR has been filed or anyone arrested against any Hindus.

Speaking to reporters in the city on Wednesday, the minister said that of those arrested, two are from Channapatna and the rest are residents of Maddur town. He expressed suspicion that there might have been some lapses in law and order in this case. He added that he could not provide any more information until the investigation is complete.

Cheluvarayaswamy criticized the BJP and JD(S) for unnecessarily creating confusion regarding the incident. He said that their absence from the peace meeting showed they do not want peace. He also alleged that while there were only four or five public Ganapati installations in Maddur, BJP-JD(S) leaders attempted to increase the number by bringing Ganesh idols from Bengaluru.
