Upper Krishna Project: 1,33,867 Acres of Land Acquisition Required, Says Chief Minister

For the project’s implementation, a total of 1,33,867 acres of land acquisition is required, of which 75,563 acres will be submerged due to backwater. So far, acquisition awards have been issued for 29,566 acres, and 59,354 acres are slated for the acquisition process. The government has decided to acquire the submergible land in a single phase instead of two phases.
