The Income Tax (IT) department has conducted raids on Pothys clothing showrooms in Bengaluru amid allegations of income tax evasion.Simultaneous operations took place at the Pothys outlets in Timber Layout on Mysore Road and Gandhinagar. Over 25 IT officials are carrying out inspections at the Timber Layout showroom, while approximately 30 officials are involved at the Gandhinagar store.

Pothys is a major clothing retail chain originating from Tamil Nadu. Officials from Chennai are leading these raids. The company, which has rapidly expanded across the country in just a few years, operates showrooms in multiple states, including Bengaluru and Tamil Nadu.The IT team is examining the company's financial records, with more details on potential tax evasion expected to emerge.
