Previously, due to excessive rains, a large volume of water had been released from the reservoir. In that context, 20 cusecs of water had been discharged from the reservoir. At that time, the embankment next to the reservoir's retaining wall had collapsed. But now, soil from another section of the reservoir has given way, and trees have fallen.Sources indicate that with even more intense rainfall, there's a possibility of further collapse at the dam's retaining wall.
