The accused, a local private tutor, was apprehended after the victim informed her mother about the incident, prompting the family to file a complaint at the Byree police station on Thursday, September 11. A case has been registered under the POCSO Act and relevant sections of the BNS. The police recorded the victim’s statement and arrested the accused on Saturday, September 13.
