Dharmasthala Illegal Burial Case: SIT Receives Over 30 Complaints, Comprehensive Probe for Valid Cases

In collaboration with the police and the gram panchayat, the SIT has received complaints concerning missing persons, unnatural deaths, suspected murders, and illegal disposal of bodies. Some complaints allege that a conspiracy, funded from abroad, was orchestrated to tarnish Dharmasthala’s reputation.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the alleged illegal burial of bodies in Dharmasthala village, Mangaluru, has received over 30 complaints so far. The SIT is set to conduct a thorough investigation into valid complaints related to missing persons, unnatural deaths, and suspected murders.

On Sunday, SIT chief Pranav Mohanty held a meeting with SPs Jitendra Kumar Dayama, C.A. Simon, and other officials at the Belthangady office to discuss the investigation’s progress and the handling of complaints. It is learned that preliminary information has already been collected for some complaints. “We have received over 30 complaints, which are being reviewed. Complaints that do not require investigation will be resolved with a follow-up report. Some complaints necessitate a comprehensive probe, and further information needs to be gathered,” sources said.
