In a tragic incident in Kwariradoddi village, Deodurga taluk, Raichur district, three young women attempted suicide due to distress in their romantic relationships. Renuka, aged 18, succumbed to her injuries, while Thimmakka and a minor survived. The police investigation is ongoing.

A shocking revelation has emerged in the case of the suicide attempt by three young women in Kwariradoddi village, Deodurga taluk, Raichur district. The incident occurred on Sunday, resulting in the death of 18-year-old Renuka, while Thimmakka and a minor escaped danger.

Initially, the reason behind the incident remained a mystery. However, the Deodurga police investigation has uncovered a love story at the heart of this tragedy, which drove the three young women to take such an extreme step. Each of the three women—Renuka, Thimmakka, and the minor, who are related to each other—was involved in a separate romantic relationship with different young men. Meanwhile, Renuka was engaged to another man, with the engagement scheduled to take place within a week. This caused her significant distress. Due to this, the trio decided to take their own lives the previous week. On Sunday, while working in Thimmakka’s field, Thimmakka consumed pesticide, followed by Renuka and the minor. Local residents rushed to the scene and managed to rescue the minor, but Renuka was found dead. Renuka’s family, suspecting foul play by Thimmakka and the minor, filed a complaint at the Deodurga police station. A case has been registered at the Deodurga police station, and investigations are underway. Thimmakka, who consumed the pesticide, is receiving treatment at RIMS Hospital, while the minor has been admitted to a private hospital. The grief of Renuka’s family is heart-wrenching.
