Jalalabad: The Taliban government, which assumed control of Afghanistan in 2021, has imposed various restrictive policies, including a nationwide ban on Wi-Fi internet. Authorities in Balkh province stated that this ban aims to curb immorality. They plan to develop a domestic alternative system to replace Wi-Fi. Consequently, Wi-Fi services have been discontinued in government offices and private establishments. However, mobile internet services will continue to function as usual.

New Delhi: The sixth round of talks regarding the India-US trade agreement took place on Tuesday, with both nations expressing optimism about reaching a final decision soon. Kolkata: The Election Commission, which sparked significant debate in Bihar due to its special voter list revision, has begun preparations to implement a similar initiative in West Bengal. Starting Tuesday, training will commence for district sub-divisional officers and election registration officers across the state. After completing this training, these officials will train booth-level officers, who will then inform the public about the program. West Bengal is scheduled to hold its assembly elections early next year.
