Trailer Release for Sydney Sweeney's 'The Housemaid'... What's in the Much-Awaited Movie Trailer?

In the film adaptation of Freida McFadden's novel The Housemaid, Sydney Sweeney shines in the role of a young woman who joins a wealthy family's home filled with secrets. Directed by Paul Feig, this family-thriller is set to release on December 19.

The first trailer for Sydney Sweeney's film The Housemaid was recently released. As one of the year's most anticipated novel-based films, it offers viewers a brief glimpse.

Directed by Paul Feig, this film is based on Freida McFadden's 2022 novel The Housemaid. Scheduled for theatrical release on December 19, the film features Sweeney as Millie Calloway, a young woman who joins a wealthy family as a housemaid. Millie is unaware of the family's secrets, especially about Nina Winchester, played by Amanda Seyfried.

In the trailer, Nina is seen crying and screaming in her car. Then, scenes hinting at impending troubles unfold one after another. Why are coroners outside the beautiful suburban home? It's natural for a family thriller. The trailer progresses from the joyful first meeting where Nina hires Millie for light housework, cooking, and organizing.

Set to a dark rendition of Sabrina Carpenter's "Please Please Please," the trailer hints that something is about to go wrong. Is Nina acting strangely? Is someone behind that locked brown door? Could there be a secret romance between Millie and Nina's husband Andrew (Brandon Sklenar)? Except for those who have read the book, the answers will have to wait until December.Titan Edge Quartz Analog White Dial Black Leather Strap Watch For Men - NT1595WL01

The glimpse of The Housemaid's trailer was promoted through a series of videos on the 'Housemaid TikTok' account earlier this month. The first teaser, released on September 12, shows the gates of the Winchester mansion opening. Then, Seyfried's Nina welcomes Sweeney's character and says, "Please call me Nina."On the Eve of Upendra’s 57th Birthday, 'Guerrilla War' Poster Released by the Film Team! The second teaser takes us inside the house to a closed white door. Seyfried says, "I don't know what I'd do without you," while a terrified Sweeney replies, "I don't want to go back." In the third video, showing a brown door, Seyfried says, "I want you to be safe here." The fourth video ends with Seyfried at the gate saying, "Millie, I have a feeling this is going to be good."

The teaser released on September 15 provides a grand view of the Winchester mansion, which looks like a dollhouse where Millie works. In the upstairs bedroom, Seyfried's Nina is in the arms of her husband Andrew. Their daughter, Cecilia (Indiana Elle), is in another bedroom on the same floor. Meanwhile, Enzo, the gardener trimming plants outside, is played by Michele Morrone from 365 Days and An Unadulterated Simple Favor.

Finally, Sweeney enters the house as Millie in blue jeans. As she arrives, the film's tagline appears: "Uncover the lies behind closed doors." Special emphasis is placed on the lies!
