Mangaluru: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) is set to present Burude Chinnayya, an accused in the Dharmasthala case, before the Belthangady Court today. Chinnayya is expected to provide additional statements before the judge, supplementing his previous statements. Officials have indicated that SIT officers are likely to bring Chinnayya from Shivamogga Jail to the Belthangady Court this morning.The SIT investigation is expected to take new twists based on Chinnayya’s statements, which could add further complexity to both the Dharmasthala case and the ongoing SIT probe. The SIT conducted an operation at Banglegudde, near the banks of the Netravati River. Under the leadership of Investigating Officer Jitendra Dayama, a seven-hour mahazar (inventory process) was carried out. The operation covered 13 acres of Banglegudde, with mahazar conducted at five different locations. During this process, five human skulls and 113 bones were reportedly recovered.
