Rahul Gandhi's Allegations are Baseless, Says Election Commission

He had alleged that during the 2023 elections in Karnataka's Aland constituency, an attempt was made to delete over 6,000 votes using automated software.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has rejected the allegations of "voter theft" made by Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi. The ECI clarified that his claims are incorrect and baseless, stating that it is impossible to delete votes online and that Gandhi should verify his facts before making such statements. The ECI also pointed out that the Congress party won the assembly elections in Karnataka.

Earlier today at the AICC office in Delhi, Rahul Gandhi had accused the ECI of protecting "voter thieves." In response, Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar dismissed Gandhi's allegations, calling them a "misconception." He stated that, contrary to Gandhi's claims, no vote can be deleted through an online process. Gandhi had earlier expressed his anger, stating that the "hydrogen bomb" he had promised to reveal about electoral irregularities was not the current one, and that a bigger exposé was coming soon. He had alleged that during the 2023 elections in Karnataka's Aland constituency, an attempt was made to delete over 6,000 votes using automated software. The heated exchange between the two parties suggests that the controversy is far from over. Also Read: Bengaluru's Decline: HD Kumaraswamy Slams Government for Corruption and Mismanagement..!
