The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has introduced several improvements to its services and launched new features. Among these, the 'Passbook Lite' feature stands out as a significant addition. Union Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya unveiled these changes to EPFO services on Thursday. The 'Passbook Lite' feature allows EPFO members to check their PF account details or withdraw funds without needing to log in separately to the passbook portal.
This feature has been integrated directly into the member portal, enabling members to view their PF account details easily. This step aims to reduce the load on the passbook portal. However, for a detailed passbook view, members can still log in to the dedicated passbook portal as before.Another new feature added to the member portal is the PF Transfer Certificate. Members can now directly download their PF Transfer Certificate (Annexure K) from the portal.
