today the Supreme Court dismissed an appeal challenging the Karnataka High Court’s order upholding the state government’s decision to invite Booker Prize winner Banu Mustak for the Mysuru Dasara inauguration. This ruling clears the way for the state government to proceed with Mustak’s selection for the prestigious event.
The appeal stemmed from a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Pratap Simha in the Karnataka High Court, opposing Mustak’s selection. The High Court bench, comprising Chief Justice Vibhu Bakhru and Justice C.M. Joshi, had ruled that the selection process violated no regulations and dismissed the PIL.Naixa Women's Orange BSY Viscose Embroidered Straight Kurta with BSY Viscose Pant and Silk Blend Embroidered Laced Dupatta Sets (Available in Plus Size) (NX-640)

Gavai. The plea argued that Mustak’s alleged past anti-Hindu statements could hurt public sentiments.
However, the Supreme Court rejected this contention, affirming the High Court’s decision. The court clarified that the state government’s choice was lawful and did not infringe on any legal or cultural sensitivities.
