Kumaraswamy’s Re-entry into Karnataka Politics: JD(S) Revival Mission with ‘Target 80’!

Former Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy is making a dynamic return to Karnataka politics. Through his ‘Target 80’ initiative, he aims to tour 80 constituencies, rejuvenate the JD(S) party, and prepare it for the 2028 state elections.

Former Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy, who has been engaged in Delhi’s political landscape, has now decided to actively re-enter Karnataka politics. Having played a significant role as a Union Minister in the NDA government, Kumaraswamy is focused on revitalizing the JD(S) party and infusing new energy among its workers. In recent years, the JD(S) organization in Karnataka has resembled a derailed train.

Leadership gaps, dissatisfaction among workers, and a lack of strategic direction have weakened the party. To reverse this, Kumaraswamy has devised a master plan called ‘Target 80’. Next month, he will embark on a statewide tour, focusing on 80 constituencies where JD(S) enjoys favorable support, to unite leaders and connect directly with party workers.
