Renowned Tamil actor and comedian Robo Shankar was receiving treatment at a private hospital in Chennai. He passed away on Thursday. This news has caused profound sorrow in the Tamil film industry. He was 46 years old.

Robo Shankar leaves behind his wife Priyanka and daughter Indraja. Indraja had acted in Vijay's blockbuster film Bigil. Robo Shankar gained fame for his excellent performances in Dhanush's Maari, Vishal's Irumbu Thirai, and Vishnu Vishal's Velainu Vandhutta Vellaikaaran.

On Wednesday, during a film shoot, he suddenly collapsed. The film crew immediately admitted him to a private hospital. He was being treated in the Intensive Care Unit there.
