The decision includes a proposed decrease of ₹4 per liter for curd, alongside price cuts for other products like ghee, butter, and lassi.In 2017, GST was imposed on dairy products, and in 2022, the rate was increased to 12%. However, the central government recently reduced the GST on dairy products from 12% to 5%, effective September 22, 2025.
